The forging Manipulator is an indispensable large-scale forging auxiliary equipment in the forging workshop for forging red-hot billets. It has wheels at its bottom, can travel along fixed rails, and is equipped with a cab on the machine, which is operated by a dedicated operator. Its front end extends two huge pincer-like clamping arms, equivalent to mechanical hands.
When the red-hot large forging billet is taken out from the circular heating furnace, it uses hydraulic power to clamp the forging tightly with tongs, and flexibly moves forward, backward, clamps, releases, or turns over according to the operator's intention. Cooperating with a full hydraulic open-type forging hammer or a hydraulic press, it hammers and forges the forging blank into the required shape and size.
As one of the main means of metal processing, forging occupies a pivotal position in the national economy and is an indispensable main processing technology in the equipment manufacturing industry.
Traditionally, overhead cranes are needed to hoist the rough blanks, then turn them over and move them, which is inefficient and risky.
